About the Qualification

An Apprenticeship in Hospitality is the perfect course for anyone working in the Hospitality sector. Our courses offer individuals the opportunity to build knowledge and a career within their current roles and beyond. The qualifications aim to provide accreditation to those learners able to demonstrate competence against the occupational standards as defined by our awarding body, NCFE. The course content is assessed in the workplace to allow individuals to gain hands-on experience as they train. It allows flexibility in choice for you to choose optional units from different pathways to suit your individual job role and aspirations.

As an on-the-job qualification, this programme requires learners to demonstrate the skills and knowledge required when working in the Hospitality industry. It is ideal for both those working in their first Hospitality role, and those in already established roles wishing to progress in their career. We cover a wide range of pathways to suit a variety of roles within the sector, including receptionist roles, chefs, and front of house personnel so there really is something for everyone – let us help to guide you through our courses, and introduce you to a whole range of new and exciting opportunities.

Available frameworks

We offer 5 pathways to choose from, 4 at Level 2 and 1 at Level 3:

Level 2: Intermediate Apprenticeship in Hospitality (Food and Beverage Service):

This qualification is designed for learners employed, or who aspire to be employed, in hospitality roles, for example: bar people/managers, conference and banqueting assistants/managers or waiters/waitresses who need to develop or consolidate their skills.

Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Food and Beverage Service
Level 2 Certificate in Hospitality and Catering Principles (Food and Beverage Service)
Functional Skills Maths and English Level 1

Level 2: Intermediate Apprenticeship in Hospitality (Front of House):

This qualification is designed for learners employed, or who aspire to be employed, in hospitality roles, for example a front of house receptionist.

Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Front of House Reception
Level 2 Certificate in Hospitality and Catering Principles (Front of House Reception)
Functional Skills Maths and English Level 1

Level 2: Intermediate Apprenticeship in Hospitality (Hospitality Services):

This qualification is designed for learners employed, or who aspire to be employed, in hospitality roles, for example: hospitality services assistant – working in a range of settings of different sizes where employers expect staff to undertake a range of duties.

Level 2: Intermediate Apprenticeship in Hospitality (Professional Cookery):

This qualification is designed for learners employed, or who aspire to be employed, in hospitality roles, for example: chefs, kitchen porters and food service assistants who need to develop or consolidate their skills.
