Well, hello there! Greetings from Team GlobeUs! You may have noticed we’ve been quieter than usual of late; now that we are settled into our new office things should start to return to normal, so let me update you on all our news.
We are now in Unit 25 Basepoint, Gosport, and we are so pleased with how the office has taken shape. We have a dedicated training room on our ground floor now which has already been used for lots of Functional Skills group days. It’s a beautiful and light room, and just perfect for getting people together to focus on learning!
We had a record number of achieving Apprentices this year, hitting an achievement rate of over 80%, 12% higher than the national average. This year is set to reach a similar achievement rate so congratulations to all our Apprentices! Below is a little gallery of our latest high flyers receiving their certificates.
NCFE have released Career Maps to help Apprentices to see where they can go next after completing their qualification. We have uploaded these to the Resources section on OneFile for you to take a look at, or your Assessor may go through this with you at your next visit – it’s important to us that our Apprentices know they can pick our brains for careers advice, so if you do have questions make sure you let us know!

Talking of OneFile, we launched our e-Portfolio system in January 2018, with all new Apprentices being uploaded onto the software. This fun and interactive programme allows you as the learner to have complete control of your programme; you can submit work, see your current progress, chat with your Assessor, and access a wealth of resources to support your learning. We have also launched Courses on OneFile, including our re-vamped Induction Course. Why not download the mobile app too!
The 2018 National Apprenticeship Awards have opened in the past few weeks, so get nominating for your Apprentice of the year and Apprenticeship Champion of the Year. All nominees will be recognised by GlobeUs, and regional finalists are invited to a special Awards Ceremony to find out who the winner for their category is! The deadline for entries is the 25th May 2018, so be quick. Finally to round things up, after snow, a heat wave, and then rain, we look to finally be heading towards the summer! Spring is well and truly here so we hope you have all been able to enjoy some of the sunshine. It’s the month of bank holiday weekends, so make sure you get out there and have some fun!
