… but things are certainly not slowing down here at GlobeUs HQ!
Following a relatively quiet August, September has exploded into action, and has been our busiest month to date – and October looks to be following in its footsteps!
So much has happened this month, but let us try to fill you in on the key headlines:
The EYFS changes came out earlier in the month, and updates to Childcare provider requirements for Paediatric First Aid have been issued. You can read our update here. The New EYFS document has not yet been issued, but we will keep a close eye on this release and will post it here on our website, and email to local nurseries for your reference. If you have any questions at all on the new Paediatric First Aid requirements, please get in touch with us and we’ll be more than happy to advise, or visit our course page.
On the subject of First Aid, particularly for children, choking has been in the media a couple of times this month, featured on ITV’s This Morning and on the news website MSN. These both highlight and reaffirm the importance of knowing what to do in an emergency situation, and how basic training can help to save a life. We say this often, but cannot reiterate the message enough: knowledge and good training can save lives. The British Red Cross has a free app to download, containing information, advice and guidance on First Aid and what to do in an emergency. Apps not your thing, or you’d prefer to learn by doing? Why not come along to a course with GlobeUs and let us teach you invaluable lifelong techniques, to give you confidence in emergency situations.
Our local MP, and Minister for Childcare and Early Years, Caroline Dinenage has been running a feature on Apprenticeships for the past few weeks, aiming to raise the profile of courses amongst the constituency. We are extremely proud to have 3 of our Apprentices featured on her page! Read all about it here! Piqued your interest? Check out our Apprenticeships page to find out more.
Perhaps you’ve been interested in becoming an Apprenticeships Trainer Assessor? We welcomed our first client on board our Level 3 Assessor Award programme this month, which is an extremely exciting new avenue for us! We have worked in Apprenticeships for a number of years, and so to be able to extend our experience and services to training up new people for the industry is fantastic. Get in touch to find out more.
Already qualified and looking for your first Assessing role, or looking for a new opportunity within Assessing? GlobeUs are recruiting! We are looking for a full time Trainer Assessor in Childcare to join our rapidly expanding team, so if you think you’d like to come aboard the good ship GlobeUs, send us an email, call, or pop your CV in the post! Here is the link to our online advert for applications through Indeed: click!
Finally, our 2 Directors Luke and Aneta are participating in the Great South Run this month, running a whopping 10 miles!! We are all behind them wishing them the very best for the day, so if you’d like to join us in supporting them send us a message via our website, social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, or LinkedIn), or join us on the day in Porstmouth.
Well, that’s everything for this month, but keep watching our news feed and social media pages above for more updates.
Thanks for reading!
